Despite what it looks like from my last few posts, I do take pictures of people other than newborns! At the end of November I was invited to photograph the wedding of my two friends, Kim and Nate. It was an absolutely gorgeous day for a wedding and I think we got tons of great shots... especially considering I was 35 weeks pregnant and not as mobile as normal!
The reason for my break from the photo biz has arrived... well, actually, she arrived on January 3rd, but due to the circumstances of her arrival (emergency c-section due to placental abruption) its taken me awhile to get back into the swing of things!
So here she is- Miss Eva Noel, born January 3rd at 1:54pm. She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 20 inches long. We absolutely love her.
I entered some friends in a Christmas photo giveaway through a photographer I love in Texas and they won!!! You can check out the post announcing them as the winners here. Granted, I'm pregnant, but I almost cried when I got the email from Kristen telling me to be sure to check out her blog!
I know, I've been a very, very bad blogger! I promise, its because I've been so busy taking and editing photos that I just haven't had time to blog them all, so look forward to lots of new posts soon!
These photos are from a newborn session I did in mid-November. Miss Avery is about a month old in these photos. Isn't she just darling!?
I've had several newborn photo shoots lately, which is just fine with me! I love photographing these little babies when they are so new to the world. This is Maverick, the son of my best friend and her husband, little brother to my daughter Cecelia's best friend Maddy. I got to go see Maverick in the hospital when he was only a day old and take some pictures of him. He is such a cute little guy and I'm seriously counting down the minutes until I get to go photograph him again. I really can't wait for my new little girl to arrive so I can photograph the two of them together!!
**I promise he isn't crying in this first photo... really, he loves his Aunt Claire!! He was just yawning! I wore him out during our photo session.
Meet Kylee Anne, not even 12 hours old in these photos! Yesterday she turned one month old and I was horrified to realize I hadn't yet posted these sweet photos from when I was invited to visit and photograph her at the hospital. *sigh* Newborn babies are so precious! I can't wait for my new little one to arrive. Only about 8-10 more weeks!
